Principal’s Message

Dear St. John Alternative Families,

Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year!  My name is Corey Lambert Sr., and I am so excited to introduce myself as the Program Administrator of the St. John Alternative Program.  I am in my 25th year in education.  .
I am thrilled to welcome our students and staff back to school. We hope you were able to relax and make special memories with your friends and families. Now it is time to look forward to a wonderful new school year! We are well aware that we will need to address unfinished learning by using an acceleration model to fill in gaps in knowledge. Instruction will be focused on specialized skills and content needed to learn grade-level materials while providing the appropriate tools needed to grasp concepts. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe.
I believe that every student deserves a quality education, fighting chance and that only happens when the program and the families work together for the best interests of our children. With that in mind, I will be calling on all of our faculty, staff, and parents to work as a singular unit so we can best serve our children.
It is an honor to be given this opportunity and look forward to immersing myself completely in our school and in our community. I believe my main responsibility is to put our teachers in the best possible position to succeed, as they will in turn put our children in the best possible position to succeed. I look forward to meeting all of you and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.

      Sincerely,
      Corey Lambert Sr.
